SANDCARVING
Sandcarving, also known as sandblasting, is the process used to embellish our products with simple to intricate carved artwork. It is one of the most versatile methods for personalizing or decorating glass, crystal, marble, stone and other surfaces. All of our items are sandcarved by hand in-house.
Sandcarving vs Laser Engraving:
Laser engraving involves using a laser beam to etch your design onto items by creating small fractures or burns on the surface. While laser engraving may look great at first, designs tend to be able to wear out and fade over time with use.
On the other hand, the sandcarving process actually removes material from your item of choice, resulting in a deeper engraved design which will last the lifetime of the product. Great for surfaces like wood and acrylic, we recommend sandcarving for a variety of other products including glass and crystal, granite, some metals and even full bottles of wine!
